We drove and drove through deep sand. Jim was afraid if we slipped, we'd find all four wheels suspended. We were both kind of on-edge and didn't get out to take any pictures of the tracks. There were lots of them wending this way and that. We ran across a couple of men coming down. They told us that all the tracks went to the same place: just pick the ones that look best. Here is our first view of the alburgue, the hut where climbers stay overnight, from the road. We are at about fifteen thousand feet.
