Mexican immigrants are sent home in large numbers

According to Carolina Rocha and Alberto Morales in an article in El Universal yesterday, about 40,000 migrants a month are "repatriated."  From January 2006 thrugh August, 2008 1.5 million Mexicans were returned home.  They are apparently droed on the Mexican side of La Frontera with $20.00 in cash.  In 2006, 515 thousand were returned, in 2007 513 thousand, and this year from January to August alone, 06 thousands have been returned which, if the rate for the year stays the same, will mean more than 600 thousand will hae been repatriated by the end of December.
