This link to an article in World Politics Review condemns in dispassionate, almost clinical terms our national security efforts over the past more-than-eight years. It is critical of Clinton. But it is overwhelmingly critical of the efforts of the last eight years. It is frightening, and a McCain victory would make it even more frightening as his shoot-from-the-hip, neo-con love of war as a solution, his loner (maverick) personality could very well exacerbate the situation further.
