Okay, I know, I know: 70% of the US is blanketed in snow, but it is COLD here, too

In the State of Durango, Mexico, the temperature is 3.2 degrees Fahrenheit.  Here in Colonia Ursulo Galván, in the southeast of Mexico, the current temperature is 53.6F.  Some of you might laugh at us, but people here do not have heating so it is COLD.  You can suffer hypothermia in such temperatures, and I assure you, it is colder at higher (even slightly higher) elevations.  It is raining here. Maybe there will be snow on Cofre de Perote!  Anyway, in our house, without a fire in our wood-burning stove, the temperature has been steady at about 65 all day.  Dog body heat is what it is.
